Roskomnadzor reports successful exercises under the sovereign Runet law

All exercises envisaged by the so-called sovereign Runet law were completed successfully. The head of Roskomnadzor, Andrey Lipov, said this, according to TASS.

According to him, the tests are aimed at assessing the resilience of communications networks to failures:

\n\n

\”The exercises showed that we are ready for this to operate stably and securely under any external influence.\”

\n\n

Lipov noted that operators and other industry representatives participated in the exercises. The identity of those involved was not specified.

\n\n

The law on the sovereign Runet took effect in Russia on 1 November 2019.

\n\n

First exercises were held in December of the same year. In 2020 they were repeatedly postponed. In July 2021 became known about the second testing of the Runet’s resilience.
