Russian buys Bitcoin and Cosmos with money saved from school lunches; asset value rises to 37 million rubles

A 24-year-old Russian man told the story of how he managed to earn money from crypto assets using a hodl strategy.

According to him, he learned about cryptocurrencies in 2013 on one of the computer forums:

“I had absolutely no money, but I saved from school lunches and birthday gifts from my parents. I was really inspired by the idea of Bitcoin, and I decided to buy only Bitcoin and not sell under any circumstances.”

At Bitcoin’s price peak, the value of his savings reached 37 million rubles.

The hodler noted that he intends to wait until the amount in his account grows to $1 million, after which he plans to withdraw the money and reinvest it in various asset classes, including ETFs and commercial real estate.

Earlier, an engineer from the British town of Newport offered local authorities $72 million to search a landfill for a hard drive, on which 7,500 BTC were stored.
