Russian Post plans to deploy blockchain in its operations
Russian Post plans to deploy blockchain to track supply chains. The initiative has been included in the company’s digital transformation strategy, according to Vedomosti.
Representatives of Russian Post said that testing could begin in the third to fourth quarters of 2023. The service is planned to be implemented in 2023-2025.
The use of blockchain is expected to reduce the number of lost parcels, a company source told the publication.
The project will require approval from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, so a final decision on its launch has not been made.
ForkLog asked the company for comment, but as of writing had not received a response.
Back in 2017, Russian Post had already discussed plans to implement blockchain.
