Russians switch from Binance to Bybit, HTX and Deribit

In October, Russian users topped the list of visits to cryptocurrency exchanges Bybit, HTX and Deribit. Wu Blockchain reports.

For Bybit and HTX, the share of visitors from Russia stood at 17% of the total, while on Deribit it was 16%.

Traffic from Russian customers to Binance accounted for 5%.

The largest share of visitors from the United States was recorded on Coinbase (57%) and Crypto.com (25%).

Overall, the publication notes that October’s exchange traffic rose by 15.6% from the previous month.

Spot trading volumes on major platforms rose 57.5%. In the top three were Crypto.com — 200.8%, Upbit — 74.7% and Bybit — 72.7%.

Derivatives trading also rose by 44.5% month-on-month. Leading were Deribit — 260%, Crypto.com — 199.2% and BitMEX — 170.6%.

After the announcement exit of Binance from Russia, a portion of users migrated to new platforms instead of the CommEX exchange. Bybit, HTX, KuCoin and Gate.io reported inflows of new Russian clients.

Earlier, 0xScope analysts reported that the share of Binance declined amid intensified competition. OKX and Coinbase strengthened their positions.
