Salekhard pensioner loses more than 7 million rubles on ‘Bitcoin investments’

A 60-year-old resident of Salekhard became a victim of scammers who promised her earnings on a cryptocurrency exchange. The local police department reported.

In October, the victim saw online advertising for investing and called the number listed in the advertisement. During the phone call, she was offered to invest funds in cryptocurrencies.

Over the course of several days, the Russian woman transferred more than 7 million rubles from her bank accounts to unknown subscriber numbers.

A criminal case has been opened into fraud on a particularly large scale.

Earlier, over 1.7 million rubles in a fake cryptocurrency trading scheme.
