The U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams sent to the court a list of sites that the founder of the collapse of FTX collapse of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF).
According to the filing, while awaiting trial, he may have access to:
- the Amazon marketplace;
- the news sites (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Decrypt and CoinDesk);
- the online streaming site Netflix;
- the music streaming service Spotify;
- the food-delivery services DoorDash and Uber Eats;
- the sports sites MLB.com and NFL.com;
- the analytical platform Etherscan and the CoinGecko service;
- YouTube, the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, and all government websites.
Among the programs approved by the prosecution are Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, Docusign, 1password, Notepad, and others. A separate laptop with VPN and apps to monitor his communications and online activity will be issued to SBF.
In December 2022, SBF was arrested in the Bahamas, at the request of the U.S. government. The court released him on a $250 million bail. Bankman-Fried faces up to 115 years in prison.
In February 2023, the FTX founder was charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud. The number of charges against him rose from eight to twelve.
