On July 10, Samsung unveiled its foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, along with Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, featuring new AI capabilities.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6, priced at $1900, is lighter and thinner, with a processor optimized for AI processing. The Galaxy Z Flip 6, at $1100, boasts longer battery life, a high-resolution camera, and a cooling mode.
The smartphones offer a range of AI-based tools and features, including translation, note summarization and automatic formatting with voice recording support, text translation in PDF files, email text generation based on keywords, image creation, and more.
Utilizing neural networks, the Galaxy Buds now feature a “listening mode” offering real-time voice translation, such as during a lecture in a foreign language. Sound and connectivity quality have been improved.
Google’s Gemini app is integrated into the new Galaxy Z series, providing users with a personal AI assistant. Activation is possible by swiping a corner of the screen or saying “Okay, Google.” The chatbot is incorporated into several apps like Google Maps and YouTube.
