Sber Grants Private Investors Access to Digital Financial Assets
Sber has opened its digital financial assets (DFA) platform to all individuals. Those who have obtained the status of a qualified investor in relation to DFAs are already conducting initial transactions.
“In the first month after launching DFAs on the digital square meter index for a limited group of investors on our platform, about a hundred such DFAs were successfully purchased. Now, this new investment tool is available to all private investors qualified in relation to DFAs,” stated Anatoly Popov, Deputy Chairman of the bank’s board.
Since the end of 2023, Sber has been issuing DFAs linked to the average cost of residential real estate in Moscow. They can be acquired after obtaining the status of a qualified investor for this type of asset.
In November, Sber issued its first loan secured by DFAs. The financing was granted to the Datsik group of companies, which owns the Omega shopping center in Tolyatti.
In December, Sber initially opened access to the DFA platform for individuals in a limited capacity.
