Self-proclaimed ‘King of the Roma’ and head of the Romanian branch of the International Romani Union, Daniel Cioaba (Daniel Cioaba), announced the launch of the Gypsycoin digital currency, according to Digi24.
According to the white paper, the coin is aimed at financing “the fight against discrimination and xenophobia” and various educational projects.
The token is built on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). According to BscScan, Gypsycoin’s total supply will be 1 trillion coins, and at the time of writing, holders number over two thousand addresses.
Gypsycoin is traded on PancakeSwap. The platform warns that anyone can create tokens on the BSC, and projects may be fraudulent.
Gypsycoin is not traded on major exchanges.
Earlier in Romania, cryptocurrencies were auctioned for the first time, seized in a fraud case.
