Slerf Meme Coin Creator Accidentally Burns All Airdrop and LP Tokens

The developer of the Slerf project on the Solana blockchain announced that he accidentally burned all LP and airdrop tokens. 

Guys I fucked up. I burned the LP and the tokens that were set aside for the airdrop.

Mint authority is already revoked so I can not mint them.

There is nothing I can do to fix this.

According to him, the error occurred while attempting to burn shitcoins that people sent to the project’s wallet. The developer claims he has already revoked his authority to mint additional coins.

“Guys, I messed up. There is nothing I can do to fix this. I am so fucking sorry,” wrote the project’s official account on X.

The total value of the destroyed coins amounts to 50,000 SOL ($10 million). This entire sum was raised during the presale.

A few hours later, the developer wrote that the project team intends to “do everything possible to recover the presale participants’ funds.”

In the comments, users mock the developer, calling the incident “the largest rug pull in presale history to date.” Others note that the situation is rather “bullish because now presalers won’t be able to dump the token.”

Some commentators urge the developer to voluntarily surrender to law enforcement and tag the FBI.

Fraudulent messages from accounts resembling the original began to appear under the tweet. They offer to send Solana tokens to specified addresses under the guise of a “new presale without screw-ups.”

Following the news, the price of SLERF fell by 38.5% over the past day, according to CoinGecko.

Earlier, on March 15, a hacker withdrew assets worth about $2 million from the vaults of the yield farming protocol Mozaic Finance.
