Snoop Dogg to turn Death Row Records into the first NFT label

The rapper and crypto-enthusiast Snoop Dogg announced plans to position his Death Row Records as the first NFT label whose artists would be active participants in the metaverses. He said this during a Clubhouse discussion.

“Death Row will become an NFT label. We will release artists in the metaverse […]. Just as we transformed the industry, becoming the first independent majors, we want to attain this status in the metaverse,” said Snoop Dogg.

Death Row Records was founded in 1991 by Dr.Dre, Suge Knight, The D.O.C., and other notable artists. On February 9, Snoop Dogg выкупил the label from the Blackstone-controlled investment group MNRK Music Group.
