The block contained 5,959 transactions. In addition to the post-April halving reward of 3.125 BTC, network fees amounted to just 0.44 BTC, or 1.4% of the total.

CKPool administrator Con Kolivas noted that the miner used equipment with a hash rate of 82 PH/s—a significant figure for solo mining.

On August 29, fortune favored a pool participant with a total device performance of 38 PH/s. According to Kolivas, this allows a solo miner to expect to mine a block approximately once every four months.

According to Glassnode, on September 8, Bitcoin’s hash rate (smoothed by a 7-day moving average) reached a peak of 693.9 EH/s. The figure adjusted to around 672 EH/s.
