The auction house Sotheby’s will hold a sale of a set of 104 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from the CryptoPunks collection.

The auction will be held on February 23 in a live-auction format in New York.
Participants are also promised a VIP Punk dinner and an afterparty with DJ Seedphrase.
In 2017, the Larva Labs team launched the CryptoPunks project consisting of 10,000 24×24-pixel NFT images. Initially, many NFTs from this collection were distributed for free.
In September 2021, Sotheby’s sold a set of 107 NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection by Yuga Labs for $24.4 million. The final price significantly exceeded the top estimate of $18 million.
In December 2021, an unknown purchased a rare CryptoPunk #4156 for 2,500 ETH (about $10.26 million at the time of the deal).
In January 2022, the crypto-payments infrastructure provider MoonPay purchased NFT #2681 from the same collection for 900 ETH (about $2.9 million).
