The Singapore-registered developer Hatten Land Limited анонсировала launch of cryptocurrency mining operations.

Its subsidiary Hatten Edge signed an agreement with SMI CS to supply 50 mining rigs by the end of January 2022.

The next batch, comprising 1,500 units, is expected in February–March. SMI CS also has an option to supply a further 1,000 miners during 2022.
\n\n
Under the agreement, Hatten Edge is responsible for installing and operating the equipment, while SMI CS will provide storage and security for the mined cryptocurrency.
\n\n
According to the press release, Hatten Land previously signed a contract with Frontier Digital Management to purchase 1,000 mining devices. The first 80 units are expected to be deployed in January.

The company also entered into a cooperation agreement with The9 Limited to obtain 3,000 mining installations, with an option to acquire a further 2,000 units.

As part of its foray into the cryptocurrency mining business, Hatten Land plans to install more than 6,000 solar panels on the roof of the largest mall in Malacca (Malaysia) to reduce its carbon footprint and secure cheaper electricity.

In collaboration with Enjinstarter, the company plans to create a metaverse that will serve as a digital twin of Malacca. The project envisages the issuance of digital assets, including NFTs.
