Spain’s largest telecommunications company Telefónica has allowed customers of its online store to pay for purchases with digital assets. About this, CoinDesk reports.
The feature is implemented in partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me. On a dedicated page, goods are listed that can be purchased with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, XRP, as well as stablecoins USDT and USDC.

Company representatives told the publication that Telefónica has invested in Bit2Me. They pledged to disclose further details later.
In February 2022, the Bank of Spain registered a crypto exchange as the country’s first licensed provider of fiat-crypto exchange services and custody of electronic wallets.
In July, the regulator granted a license for a crypto-asset services provider on the country’s digital asset market to Moon Tech Spain — the local unit of Binance.
