Spotify opens vacancy for a senior executive with blockchain experience

The music-streaming service Spotify has posted a vacancy for the deputy director of payments strategy and innovation with experience in blockchain and digital assets. This is evidenced by информация на сайте Lever.

The specialist should be versed in online payments, e-commerce, development and execution of strategies. They will be tasked with coordinating Spotify’s day-to-day engagement with the Libra Association, on 1 December having changed its name to Diem.

The role also contemplates “further consideration of new opportunities” in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, central-bank digital currencies and other digital assets.

Spotify joined the Libra Association in June 2019 alongside Visa, Mastercard and Uber.

Earlier in November, the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation opened a vacancy for a legal counsel with experience in the blockchain sphere in the Fin Tech Innovation Team’s specialized group.
