Star Atlas to Introduce AI Agents in Solana-Based Game
The upcoming science fiction game based on Solana, Star Atlas, plans to integrate AI agents into its cosmic online world. To achieve this, the project is collaborating with SingularityNET.
ATMTA, the developers of Star Atlas, are joining forces with @SingularityNET to take immersive gaming to the next level.
By integrating advanced Artificial General Intelligence, we’re redefining what’s possible in the metaverse.

ATMTA, the developer of Star Atlas, stated that the main goal of the collaboration is to implement AI agents to create an engaging gaming experience. This will be achieved using SingularityNET’s Autonomous Intelligent Reinforcement Interpretable Symbolic (AIRIS) system and the OpenCog Hyperon framework. These tools aim to introduce adaptive AI-based characters and NPCs that evolve alongside players.
“Integrating advanced artificial intelligence is about creating the most vivid moments of world-building and rewarding players in our dynamic, decentralized ecosystem,” commented ATMTA co-founder and CEO Michael Wagner.
OpenCog Hyperon is an open AI framework from SingularityNET, designed to provide human-like thinking through learning, storing, and reasoning based on experience.
AIRIS is an AI system that learns by interacting with its environment, allowing it to solve problems independently without prior instructions.
Star Atlas is a blockchain-based role-playing game focused on space exploration in the distant future. In 2022, its pre-alpha version, Showroom, was added to the Epic Games Store. A year later, the browser game Star Atlas Golden Era, part of the larger Star Atlas universe, was released. A full release is anticipated in the future.
Wagner emphasized that integrating advanced technologies like AI agents is essential for enhancing player engagement and the scalability of the product as it evolves.
“Imagine AI agents collaborating with players, providing support as they enter the game, progress, complete seasonal quests, create a rich economy, scale, and expand the numerous worlds and customization opportunities of Star Atlas,” he said.
In November 2024, SingularityNET and ASI Alliance launched the “first self-learning proto-AGI in Minecraft.”
That same month, the organization partnered with Mina Foundation to promote decentralized artificial intelligence using zero-knowledge proof technology.
