STEPN to launch NFT collection with Atlético Madrid

The STEPN fitness app and the La Liga club Atlético Madrid have announced the launch of an NFT collection.

The collection will include 1,001 pairs of NFT sneakers for the Move-to-Earn app. WhaleFin will be the third partner, a platform for trading and lending cryptocurrencies.

The NFT collection is scheduled for release on August 26. It will include 850 common, 140 uncommon and 11 rare tokens.

Each NFT owner automatically becomes a participant in a draw for tickets to Atlético Madrid’s home games, including travel and hotel accommodation. Buyers of the uncommon sneaker tokens will receive club shirts.

In the second quarter of 2022, STEPN earned a profit of $122.5 million from app usage fees.

Earlier the platform was subjected to a massive DDoS attack.
