A decentralised platform for creating social networks and communities, Subsocial, has released an NFT collection, Spacers, built on the new RMRK 2.0 standard.
RMRK 2.0 enables modification of non-fungible tokens by adding and removing attributes, which are themselves NFTs. Owners can dress up characters, modify items in still lifes, or decorate cars.
Spacers is the first collection of the RMRK 2.0 standard on the Moonriver network. It comprises 10,000 NFTs featuring robotic soldiers that differ in the number of equipment slots:
- Marine — 6 slots;
- Officer — 7 slots;
- Captain — 8 slots;
- Admiral — 9 slots.
Users can purchase NFT boxes called Spacer Pod. At the end of the sale, they will become a random Spacer with immutable traits and a set of NFT items for equipment of varying rarity. The price of boxes starts at 5 MOVR (about $52.50 at the time of publication).
Spacer holders gain privileges on Subsocial:
- a daily reward in Energy (NRG) tokens to pay for on-platform actions;
- highlighting comments and posts on Subsocial-based networks;
- access to premium features such as profile hiding and emojis in status;
- the ability to register a .spacer domain;
- an invitation to the closed Spacer DAO server.
Subsocial uses unsold NFTs for marketing activities, as well as rewards for team members and partners.
