Survey: 95% of users do not use Bitcoin mixers

95.5% of ForkLog users surveyed do not use mixing services.

14.5% of respondents explained this by saying that they do not understand how mixers work.

Digital assets for 60.1% of respondents represent a way to exercise the right to financial privacy. However, anonymous cryptocurrencies are present in the portfolios of only 19.3% of respondents.

Half of respondents — 51.7% — use VPNs, preferring free services.

The privacy-focused Tor browser is not popular among survey participants – 70.9% have never used it. Darknet sites are visited by only 16.3% of users.

The survey was conducted in September 2020. It involved 1,815 people from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the United States, and countries in Asia and Europe.
