Investing in cryptocurrency has a negative effect on personal lives, according to about 60% of digital-asset holders surveyed by SurveyMonkey.
Bloomberg, citing the study data, says that the probability of damaged relationships is tied to the size of the investments.
Respondents who allocated 10% of their capital to cryptocurrency reported relationship problems in 25% of cases, while those who allocated 75% of their holdings to digital assets saw their personal lives deteriorate in 100% of cases.
Analysts say the causes may include stress during price volatility and divergent views on future prospects.
According to the survey of bank “Otkritie”, 63% of Russians want to try buying digital currencies due to their price increases, while 14% do not intend to deal with cryptocurrencies under any circumstances.
