A survey by the financial marketplace “Sravni” reveals that 94% of Russian residents have never used cryptocurrencies: of these, 79% do not plan to engage with this type of asset in the future, while only 15% expressed a desire to do so, reports TASS.
The study involved 1,200 individuals over the age of 18 from all regions of Russia.
66% of respondents have a superficial knowledge of digital currencies, 18% are well-acquainted with them, and 16% have never heard of them.
21% of those surveyed have experience with such assets. Among them, 63% explored the field out of curiosity, 19% engaged in saving and investing, and 6% used cryptocurrency for transfers.
Only 2% of Russians are regular participants in the market.
At the time of the survey, 89% of respondents did not own any cryptocurrency, 6% held less than 10% of their total savings in it. For 4%, digital assets accounted for 20% to 50% of their savings, and another 1% held 10% to 20% of their funds in them.
In August, a survey by VTsIOM indicated that 59% of Russians were uninterested in the digital ruble.
