Swipe launches its first cryptocurrency credit card in the United States.

US users now have access to Swipe’s new product — the LendFi Visa Card, a cryptocurrency credit card that uses DeFi protocols. This is stated in the press release.

The Swipe card issuer developed the new solution in partnership with the payments company Marqeta. Its representatives explained that credit funds are loaded onto the card and become available immediately after the transaction.

The LendFi Visa Card is linked to the LendFi decentralized platform. The virtual card is issued after identity verification and application submission. If desired, users may order a physical credit card.

As of July 2020, Swipe has been owned by the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Under the acquisition deal, the exchange received a portion of SXP tokens, and Swipe added support for the BNB token.

Earlier, the card-processing service Wirex announced the launch of a card with Mastercard support for users in the European Economic Area. It will be linked to 19 crypto and fiat assets.
