CoinMENA, a cryptocurrency exchange, secures Bahrain license
CoinMENA, a cryptocurrency exchange, has obtained a license from the Central Bank of Bahrain and a Shariah compliance certificate from Shariyah Review Bureau (SRB). The press release says the trading platform will operate in the Middle East and Africa, including Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman. "We plan to become one of the notable global players. To this end we will expand the number of supported assets and jurisdictions." After launch, CoinMENA users will have access to five cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The exchange will also offer OTC trading services. Earlier in 2021, Bangladesh carried out its first {{AOPEN_1}}blockchain transaction under Sharia law{{ACLOSE_1}}.
