Gate.io unveils redesign for ninth birthday, with $9 million prize pool and a Lite App
The cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io announced details of its ninth birthday celebrations. On May 27, the platform will unveil a new website design and branding, and will also update its mobile app. In addition, the exchange will run several contests with a total prize pool of $9 million, according to a press release. The redesign will affect the logo, tagline and colour scheme. In the mobile app, Gate.io will introduce a Lite App mode with a simplified interface for trading 1,400 cryptocurrencies and tokens. Gate.io will also hold a series of contests with a total prize pool of $9 million, including the 'Golden Bar' contest with a $50,000 prize pool and a 999-gram gold bar for the winner. Gate.io is a Chinese cryptocurrency exchange serving 10 million users and ranking among the top 10 by traffic; Forbes Advisor rated it 4.5 in 2021. It may deny access to some tools for residents of the United States, Canada and several other countries.
