Telegram to Launch App Store and Browser with Web3 Support

By the end of July, Telegram will introduce a mini-app store and an integrated browser with support for Web3 pages. This was announced by the messaging app’s founder, Pavel Durov.

Additionally, Telegram will intensify efforts to combat fraudsters. Public accounts will display the month of registration and the primary country, similar to Instagram.

“We will also allow organizations to use their mini-apps to assign labels to channels, creating a decentralized market for third-party verification,” wrote Durov.

Previously, the messenger introduced the internal currency of the Telegram ecosystem, Telegram Stars.

In April, during the Token2049 conference, Pavel Durov announced the possibility of purchasing digital goods with cryptocurrency in Telegram. He promised sellers 70% of the revenue. The messenger also implemented the ability to send tips in digital assets to content creators.
