Tencent’s Cloud division revealed the roadmap for the development of blockchain-API-services in cooperation with provider Web3-infrastructure Ankr and a solution for deploying metaverses.
The latter, named Tencent Cloud Metaverse-in-a-Box, integrates Tencent Cloud infrastructure, high-performance products, SDK and low-code products. They can be widely used in gaming, media and entertainment, as well as in traditional industries and for Web3 users.

The company is seeking specialists in areas such as security, storage, identity management, middleware, development tools, as well as data and analytics.
Tencent Cloud will offer cloud credits, marketing seminars and advertising opportunities through Tencent, Tencent Cloud and the Tencent Cloud Web3 Ecosystem Alliance.
Selected Web3 developers will receive priority in product integration and joint work with the tech giant and its partners.
As part of building blockchain API services, Tencent intends to add support for Avalanche, Scroll and Sui.
As Reuters reported in February on the optimization of the metaverse-related unit with a move away from producing VR headsets and related software.
