Terra ecosystem projects begin migration to Polygon network

More than 48 projects from the collapsed Terra ecosystem have begun migrating to the Ethereum layer-2 network Polygon (MATIC), Polygon Studios CEO Ryan Wyatt said.

Among the most notable projects he named the P2E-game Derby Stars and the NFT marketplace OnePlanet.

The OnePlanet team launched the Ark*One initiative to help migrate applications from the Terra network that collapsed to Polygon.

The Wyatt-led company provided financial support to the migrants. In May, Polygon Studios pledged to assist Terra projects with ‘capital and resources’ moving to Polygon.

On June 15, OnePlanet closed applications for Ark*One. The initiative targets NFT projects. According to the marketplace’s statement, 48 applications, spanning 90 token collections, decided to migrate.

“This represents the majority of Terra projects, including those not launched on OnePlanet before the catastrophic depegging of UST from the dollar,” the platform’s developers stressed.

They added that they would continue to provide technical assistance to teams migrating to Polygon beyond the initiative.

OnePlanet’s team aims to launch the marketplace on the new network by mid-August.

Back in May, the mainnet launch of Terra 2.0 took place.
