\”The addition of Tether to the Polkadot ecosystem is another important milestone […]. It will mitigate potential adverse consequences associated with market volatility,\” the statement said.

The Tether stablecoin also operates on Algorand, Avalanche, the Simple Ledger Protocol, Ethereum, EOS, Kusama, the Liquid Network, Polygon, Tezos, Tron, Solana and Statemine.

In September, the company announced the launch of USDT on the NEAR network.

Earlier, the Polkadot developers introduced the cross-chain solution XCM, enabling communication between different parallel blockchains in the ecosystem.

Earlier in June, the project team announced plans to change the governance structure to increase decentralisation and the throughput of the decision-making process.
