The Curated launches platform to navigate Web3 art

The Luminous Art Foundation, a nonprofit organisation, has launched the decentralized platform The Curated, designed to catalog and structure existing digital art. ForkLog was told by project representatives.

The site features a search engine and boards for storing information found in a Pinterest-like format. It enables users to follow their favourite artists and assemble thematic art collections.

The platform will be governed by a decentralized curatorial council: 50% of its members will be appointed by the Luminous Art Foundation, with the other half elected quarterly by The Curated DAO.

The project team plans to launch an educational programme and curatorial projects involving well-known artists.

The Curated also announced an open competition for Web3-art curators and those looking to understand it. They must submit brief biographies and assemble a collection of artworks based on the proposed themes. The jury will select ten candidates to be elected to The Curated DAO’s curatorial council.

Earlier in March, the digital-art platform Wild привлекла $7 млн in a seed round of financing.
