At the Aguttes auction house in France, the world’s first non-fungible token (NFT) was sold for €132,680.

The message bearing the text \”Merry Christmas\” was first sent by programmer Neil Papworth to Vodafone’s managing director Richard Jarvis on 3 December 1992.

The buyer’s identity was not disclosed. Proceeds from the NFT sale are to be donated to the UN refugee agency.

An unknown buyer purchased the NFT of the first version of \”Wikipedia\” for $750,000.
