The Sandbox signs partnership with Ledger to secure the metaverse

The Sandbox metaverse team has signed a partnership agreement with Ledger Enterprise, a provider of security solutions, to bolster the project’s security.

The collaboration includes several initiatives:

“We are simplifying access to Ledger for our users, and access to our digital world for their customers. This will also make it easier and safer for individuals and major brands to inhabit the metaverse,” said The Sandbox co-founder Sebastian Borget.

In April 2022 the companies first started working together, promoting an educational initiative among Web3 users. As part of the program, the security firm provided SAND token holders with custom Ledger Nano wallets.

As of writing, the token trades at $0.61, up 6.5% over 24 hours on the news of the Ledger partnership, according to CoinGecko.

In March 2023, Ledger announced an expansion of its Series C funding round valued at €1.3 billion. During the July 2021 funding round, the company raised $380 million.
