
Three Arrows Capital buys Ringers #879 NFT for $5.8 million
Three Arrows Capital приобрел an NFT, Ringers #879, for 1,800 ETH (about $5.8 million at the time of the deal).
Artist Dmitri Cherniak released the collection on the Art Blocks platform seven months ago. After the deal he wrote: “Good day at the jpeg factory.”

As of writing, 1,800 ETH is the highest price paid for an Art Blocks piece. The previous record was 1,000 ETH for Fidenza #313 by Tyler Hobbs.
Art Blocks launched in November 2020. According to CryptoSlam data, trading volume on the platform in August surpassed $469 million.
Visa acquired a CryptoPunk NFT for $150,000 and sparked a frenzy around the project. Within an hour, the Larva Labs team sold over 60 tokens from the collection. Each of them was worth more than $200,000.
In August, NFT trading volume reached a record $1.5 billion.
