According to the businessman, these lyrics were written four years ago, but remain relevant to this day. He dedicated the song to Silicon Valley Bank and \”to all the banks that have collapsed and will collapse in the future\”.
According to Cointelegraph, during the performance Draper noted a general distrust of the digital assets market and stressed that world governments are in \”absolute panic\”.
“We are experiencing anthropological changes that are hard for people. Many resist it,” he added.
In the investor’s view, a smooth exit from the banking crisis is unlikely under the current US leadership. In particular, he hinted at the White House position, according to which digital assets do not meet the stated use cases and pose risks to investors and financial stability more broadly.
In conclusion Tim Draper stated that blockchain, Bitcoin and smart contracts mark one of the ‘greatest leaps in world history’ and should be embraced.
In 2018 the billionaire predicted Bitcoin would reach $250,000 by 2022; in the summer of 2021 he broadened the forecast to early 2023. By November 2022 the investor again pushed the timeline by six months.
Earlier in February 2023, Draper proposed Sri Lankan authorities to legalise the first cryptocurrency.
