Tom Holland’s X Account Compromised to Promote Crypto Scam
Hackers breached the X social media account of British actor Tom Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man, to post a phishing link targeting the crypto community. This was reported by U.Today.

The perpetrators used the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor’s account to announce a “fake” launch of a Spiderverse project in collaboration with Binance.
The post included a link to a phishing site offering early access to SPIDER tokens and NFTs.
At the time of writing, the message has been removed.
Notably, the last activity on Holland’s X account, which boasts 7.1 million followers, was recorded in June 2023.
In 2022, the actor announced that he had deleted certain social media apps from his smartphone to “take a break for mental health.” On Instagram, where Holland, who played Peter Parker, has nearly 66 million followers, the most recent post was published in February 2024.
In March, hackers targeted several crypto influencers’ accounts on the X platform, posting advertisements for the fraudulent token PACKY.
Earlier that month, hackers compromised the X account of hardware crypto wallet manufacturer Trezor to promote a scam.
