TON developers unveil feature for exchanging encrypted messages
On July 3, TON developers integrated encrypted messaging into the network. This guarantees that only the sender and recipient can see the encrypted information.
As of this writing, the feature is available in MyTonWallet, OpenMask and TON Wallet. It will later be available in Tonkeeper, according to Cointelegraph.
Fees for sending encrypted messages amount to 0.006 TON.
In the press release, developer Anatoly Makosov specifically noted the stability of the new feature.
“Even in the case of an apocalypse and the failure of ordinary messaging servers, you will still be able to send messages through the decentralized TON blockchain,” said Makosov.
In February, TON developers presented a roadmap for 2023.
In June, in Ton Foundation proposed to burn 50% of validator rewards.
