TON Network Faces Increased Load Due to Hamster Kombat Airdrop
Developers of The Open Network (TON) have warned of increased network load from September 26 to 29 due to the Hamster Kombat airdrop.
Starting at 13:00 Kyiv/Moscow time on September 26, validators are advised to continuously monitor their equipment status and stay in contact with the blockchain team to maintain network performance.
“If emergency actions are needed, take measures within an hour,” the developers noted.
According to them, the Hamster Kombat airdrop for 131 million participants will be the largest TGE in cryptocurrency history.
Withdrawal of HMSTR tokens to wallets will be available at 13:00 Kyiv/Moscow time, with trading on exchanges opening at 15:00 Kyiv/Moscow time.
TON developers will employ a new Mintless Jettons technology for the distribution, which they claim will allow for more efficient token allocation among millions of users with a network fee of less than $1.
Of the 300 million Hamster Kombat players, only 131 million are eligible to receive tokens. Approximately 2.3 million users are excluded from the drop due to cheating.
The project will release 100 billion HMSTR, with 75 billion going to community members. Players will be able to cash out 88.75% of the tokens on the first day of trading, with the remaining 11.25% available in ten months.
Earlier, the Hamster Kombat team outlined their development plans for the coming months.
