Tonkeeper to Enable Transaction Fee Payments with Hamster Kombat Token

Tonkeeper to Enable Transaction Fee Payments with Hamster Kombat Token

Starting October 1, the non-custodial wallet Tonkeeper will support the payment of transaction fees on the TON network using Hamster Kombat (HMSTR).

This method is made possible by the integrated Battery feature. According to Tonkeeper’s Chief Strategy Officer, Daniel Kauri, it is a system “abstracted from the user interface, allowing them to send transactions.”

“When a user is given HMSTR, they do not have Toncoin. Battery is the solution to this problem. You can top up Tonkeeper Battery with cryptocurrency on the TON network, as well as via the App Store and Google Play,” Kauri stated in a comment to The Block.

The feature will be available after the network load decreases due to the HMSTR airdrop. Users of Tonkeeper, Wallet, and several exchanges have encountered issues due to the active influx of airdrop participants.

According to internal statistics, as of September 25, Tonkeeper has 34 million active users per month, with 8 million active daily.

The airdrop and listing of the Hamster Kombat token took place on September 26. The distribution involves 131 million users, among whom 75 billion coins will be allocated.

Over the next three days, TON developers expect increased network load.
