Transaction fees accounted for 40% of Ethereum miners' revenue

In the past month, the share of fees in Ethereum miners’ revenue rose significantly. The figure stood at 40.5%, researchers at The Block reported.

The chart below shows the rapid rise in the share of fees in miners’ revenue, which began at the start of the year.

For example, in May the figure stood at 10%. Analysts attribute the rise to the craze for profitable yield farming.

In August, Ethereum miners’ receipts amounted to $285.1 million. The month-on-month rise stood at 98.2%.
