Travala to accept Tezos (XTZ) as payment for 3 million travel products

The Binance-backed blockchain hotel-booking service Travala has added Tezos (XTZ) as a payment method for 3 million travel-product options, ForkLog said, citing Tezos Ukraine.

The token integration was made possible thanks to the service’s partnership with the non-profit Tezos Commons Foundation.

Using XTZ, Travala customers will be able to pay for bookings of hotels, homes, airline tickets, tours, and events available on the platform smoothly. Buyers can expect savings of up to 40% and will receive a 10% cashback in XTZ on any payments made in these coins until 31 January.

“We strive to continually enhance value for our users and to contribute to the broad adoption of cryptocurrencies,” commented the service’s chief, Juan Otero.

Tezos will join the list of more than 30 cryptocurrencies available for use, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and AVA, Travala’s native token.

Earlier in July, Travala announced a partnership with the American tour operator Expedia. In November 2019, a similar deal was struck with the hotel-booking platform Booking.com.
