Trust Wallet Developers Resolve Bug Affecting User Balances

The team behind the cryptocurrency wallet Trust Wallet has resolved a bug that temporarily caused token balances to disappear and reappear, leading to inconvenience and frustration among many community members.

On December 21, some users took to the social network X to report the periodic “disappearance of funds.”

Another community member complained that the issue nearly gave them a heart attack.

In response to user dissatisfaction, Trust Wallet developers soon published a post acknowledging the issue, stating that the team was working on a solution and assuring users that their funds were safe.

We’re aware of an issue with BNB and TWT balances in Trust Wallet and we are working to fix it.

According to representatives of the Binance-backed project, there were difficulties with displaying BNB and TWT token balances.

Shortly thereafter, the team released an update noting that everything was now functioning smoothly.

The largest cryptocurrency exchange acquired Trust Wallet in the summer of 2018. The mobile application initially focused on Ethereum assets, and by the end of the year, the team added support for Bitcoin.

The first desktop version of the wallet was a solution for macOS devices in 2019.

In April 2023, developers reported fixing a critical vulnerability in the core software library of the Trust Wallet browser application.

Earlier, some users of the Solana wallet Phantom lost access to tokens after an update. Developers warned they could not help recover funds for those who did not back up their seed phrases.
