Trust Wallet Developers Warn of iOS Vulnerability

The team behind Binance-owned Trust Wallet has alerted iOS users to a zero-day exploit targeting the iMessage service.

According to experts, the vulnerability allows attackers to infiltrate an iPhone without using malicious links. They advised against using iMessage until Apple releases an update.

The developers explained that they initially received information about the potential exploit from the dark web, where a hacker claiming to have discovered the vulnerability was asking for $2 million.

“This could affect anyone, but as we mentioned, wealthy individuals are likely targets due to their profitability. We don’t know how much you HODL, but since there’s a risk for everyone, we’ve outlined the safest course of action,” the team emphasized.

Back in February, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology included the iOS version of Trust Wallet in its list of vulnerability research.
