Authorities in the Priangarye region have identified two suspects in the theft of Bitcoin-mining equipment, according to the local сообщили МВД.
According to investigators, a 21-year-old resident of the Zalari settlement and his 20-year-old associate from the Hor-Tagna settlement broke into a garage and carried off eight ASIC miners worth more than 400,000 rubles. Some of them they managed to sell to a resident of Zalari.
A criminal case has been opened into the theft. The main suspect has been remanded in custody.
The suspects are being checked for involvement in similar offences.
Earlier in Yaroslavl, a court sentenced the thief of mining equipment worth more than 1.6 million rubles to three years’ probation.
