NYCE was founded by Barcelona footballer Martin Braithwaite and entrepreneur Philip Michael. According to the statement, the firm aims by 2030 to reach 100,000 affluent millennial shareholders through access to its real estate portfolio, valued at more than $260 million.
NYCE’s digital shares will use tZERO’s smart contracts.
The tokens are expected to be available on the secondary market through the platform’s trading system, subject to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
In 2019, tZERO announced a joint project with the Tezos Foundation to tokenize real estate in the United Kingdom valued at about $643 million.
