Ukraine ranks among the top three countries for interest in metaverses
Vietnam, the Philippines and Ukraine lead among countries approving the concept of metaverses. The finding comes from a CoinKickoff report analyzing 1.6 million tweets on the topic.
Positive sentiment about the new type of digital platforms is 56.8% among Vietnamese users. In the Philippines this figure reaches 56.2%, and in Ukraine 54.9%.
Filipinos are more likely than others to search Google for terms related to the metaverse — 2,421 searches per 1,000 people in the country. Ukrainian users — 252 searches per 1,000 people.
The opposite ranking with sharply negative assessment of the concept is led by Ireland — 14.4% of tweets criticize it.
Western countries are the most resistant to metaverses, including Denmark, New Zealand, the United States and Canada.
Among Americans, residents of Florida show the greatest interest in the topic — 670 searches per 1,000 people.
“Global interest in metaverses is continually growing. It is closely linked to the rise of cryptocurrencies, and they will be heavily dependent on each other as both concepts continue to develop,” analysts concluded.
Back in January, Microsoft founder Bill Gates skeptically assessed the significance of Web3 and metaverses. He described artificial intelligence as a genuinely revolutionary technology.
