
Ukrainian man who chained himself to his girlfriend has decided to sell the chain links as NFTs for $3.3 million
A Kharkiv resident, Alexander Kudlai, who chained himself to his girlfriend for 123 days on February 14, 2021, has decided to sell the chain as an NFT. сообщают local media report.
The collection comprises 26 chain links and one seal, used to verify the experiment’s integrity for registration in the National Register of Records of Ukraine. Each token also includes a video clip, the presentations of which will take place in Kyiv on February 17.
The auction will run on the NFT marketplace OpenSea through February 28, inclusive. The starting price for each lot is $123,000.
The proceeds will be used to build and maintain a children’s home in Kyiv for 300 residents.
After the chain experiment concluded in June 2021, the couple split up. Kudlai’s former partner is not participating in the NFT sale, as she is not interested in the project.
Earlier in February, a couple from Arizona staged the the first wedding in the metaverse in Decentraland. The ceremony was attended by a court representative, witnesses and about 2,000 guests.
