The Ukrainian online bank monobank said that from February 24 it will stop processing [simple_tooltip content=’единая зона платежей в евро’]SEPA[/simple_tooltip]-transfers from the cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

The reason for such a decision was foreign intermediary banks — monobank said they prohibit transfers related to Binance.

Earlier ForkLog found that in the bank’s internal rules it says that the bank cannot process SWIFT payments if “there is a suspicion that they are related to activities prohibited by Ukrainian law.” The bank Bitcoin exchanges and electronic currencies, although there is no statutory ban on them in Ukraine.

Earlier this February, monobank co-founder Oleg Gorohovsky admitted that holds a sizeable portfolio of bitcoins.
