Uniswap community again fails to reach quorum in second governance vote in the platform's history

The second-ever Uniswap community vote did not gather a sufficient number of votes. The question was about conducting a new airdrop of 5 million UNI tokens.

For the initiative from the Dharma lending project, almost 37.55 million tokens voted in favor, while 1.28 million were against. To approve the proposal, a quorum of 4% of token holders (40 million) is required.

In an interview with CoinDesk, Dharma co-founder Brendan Forster expressed regret at the outcome of the vote:

“Although we are disappointed that Proposal No. 2 was not approved, we remain committed to participating in governance of the Uniswap ecosystem.”

Earlier, the first-ever Uniswap vote on lowering the minimum threshold for submitting governance proposals also failed to reach the quorum.
