In the initial phase, funding will go to small projects, including hackathons. In time, grants are planned for more substantial initiatives.
The maximum quarterly budget for the programme is $750,000. In a subsequent vote in six months, the community will decide whether to extend it.
From 2021, organisers will begin accepting applications for support of events in the form of rewards for participants. Decisions will involve a broader community.
The first vote in Uniswap’s history closed on October 19 and did not reach quorum. The question of lowering the minimum threshold for submitting governance proposals was on the agenda.
Earlier on October 31, the initiative to conduct a new airdrop of 5 million UNI tokens also did not receive a sufficient number of votes.
