
Unknown donor gifts APENFT a CryptoPunk NFT from the CryptoPunks collection
APENFT, a platform that curates artworks as NFTs, has received a CryptoPunk NFT as a gift from an anonymous donor. This was reported in a пресс-релизе.
An unknown donor gifted APENFT CryptoPunk #1649. As representatives of the platform stated, the highest bid for the token exceeded $165 000. Prior to the transfer to the service, this NFT had not been sold.
According to APENFT, the donor who wished to remain anonymous is an early holder of CryptoPunks.
According to the press release, the service currently holds a collection of various NFTs valued at more than $30.9 million.
CryptoPunks are among the first NFT collections on the Ethereum blockchain.
In March, an unknown buyer purchased an NFT from the collection for 4200 ETH, in May nine CryptoPunks tokens were sold at Christie’s for almost $17 million, and in June Sotheby’s sold the CryptoPunk #7523, also known as COVID Alien, for 4520 ETH.
On August 18, the payment system Visa purchased CryptoPunk #7610 for 49.5 ETH.
